Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to proofread my document?

It costs £12 per 1000 words to proofread your document. This price also includes two revisions. Additional revisions cost £6 per 1000 words. You can also have your document formatted for £5 per 1000 words for Microsoft Word documents and £8 per 1000 words for LaTeX documents.

What is included in the document formatting?

This includes polishing your table of contents, checking your cross-references, bibliography, footnotes, table headings, figure captions, and so much more.

How long would it take to proofread my document?

The time it takes to proofread a document depends on the extent of work needed, the total number of words, and our workload at the time. However, once we’ve started work on your document, we aim to finish within five working days, but this timeframe could vary. We advise to allow sufficient time before your document is due for submission to ensure the most effective service.

Can you proofread LaTex documents?

Yes, we support LaTex documents. The proofreading cost is the same for both LaTex and Microsoft Word documents, however, the formatting cost is different. You can upload your document to Overleaf.com and add us as collaborators. Alternatively, we can convert your LaTex document to Microsoft Word so that you can view the changes we make to your document.

What does the free sample consist of?

We are happy to provide a free proofreading sample for your document to help you decide if to go ahead with our service. For conference papers and journal articles, we can provide free proofreading of your abstract, while for longer documents such as dissertations, we can proofread up to 400 words from any page of your choosing. We are confident that you would be satisfied with our service should you decide to proceed!

Can you check my document for plagiarism?

We currently don’t offer this service. Most universities have a Turnitin service which allows students to check their documents for plagiarism before submission. We encourage authors to check that their written work is free from plagiarism before requesting proofreading.

Can you help me with some of my research?

Unfortunately, we don’t plan to offer research services now or in the future.

Can you proofread my novel?

Unfortunately, we only offer academic proofreading and editing services for now.
